Skipton Castle Wood Bench Carving

This is the stone bench that I hand carved a poem into, which was writen by Hazel the wood manager. I had to carve 153 letters at 100mm high into the Yorkshire stone flags, this was a big task especially with the setup and spacing. Through awful torrential rain, I took shelter under my trusty tarpaulin shelter so i could continue my work. After 6 grueling days (4 of them wet) I completed the task. Here are some pictures of the progress (when it was dry).
