Privacy Policy for Swales in the Dales

 

Personal data that is routinely collected by Swales in the Dales includes, name, postal address, phone number, email address and any information relating to our products or services that is offered by the person contacting us that may be deemed personal or potentially identifying. We may collect data in the following ways:

Face-to-face

 

If you speak to a representative of Swales in the Dales face to face, we will only collect any personal information that you tell us during that meeting.

Phone

 

When you call our office or any mobile phone number registered to us we record the phone number from which you are calling and may also record the date and time of the call if it is deemed relevant or if it is automatically recorded as is the case with our mobile phones. We do not audio record any calls. Other than the data already mentioned, only call data that is offered by the caller and deemed relevant will be kept.

 

In Writing

 

If you write to us we will securely hold any correspondence for as long as it is needed. When it is no longer necessary for us to hold the correspondence it will be disposed of in a safe and secure way that meets with current data protection guidance.

Email

 

When you email us at our associated email address we will keep a digital copy of the email for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purpose of the email. We may also print out emails in which case the printed copy will then be held securely until it is no longer needed when they will be disposed of in a safe and secure way that meets with current data protection guidance.

Website

 

Since the introduction of GDPR we no longer use Google Analytics nor do we use cookies. We do not share your data with any other company with the single exception of highly trusted sub-contractors/freelancers who work for Swales in the Dales on a regular basis and even then we only share the minimum amount of data they require in order to complete the administrative or production task that they are carrying out on your behalf.

 

We do not source any personal data from publicly available or third party data vendors You are entitled to view, amend, or delete the personal information that we hold. However, please be aware that by altering the information that we hold, you may negatively affect the level and types of service that we can offer to you.

 

Swales in the Dales tries to meet the highest standards when collecting and using personal information. For this reason, we take any complaints we receive about this very seriously. We encourage people to bring it to our attention if they think that our collection or use of information is unfair, misleading or inappropriate.
